Hello ,
Imagine a mountain climber dangling precariously off a cliff face. The storm rages, icy winds
whipping at their exposed skin. Their grip weakens, fear a cold knot in their stomach.
Suddenly, a rope appears from above, strong and secure. Relief washes over them as they grasp it, pulled to safety by an unseen rescuer.
Ephesians 2:8-9 (NKJV): "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one should boast."
Think about it; are all climbers on the perilous cliffs of life. We make mistakes, our grip falters, and the storms of doubt and hardship threaten
to pull us under. But unlike the climber, we are not left to our own devices.
Grace, God's unmerited favor, is the rope that descends to us and for us. It's a gift, freely given, because we could never earn salvation through good works alone.
Reflection:
- Consider a time in your life when you felt you needed grace.
- How did God's grace manifest in your situation?
- Take a moment to thank God for the gift of grace; not only for the grace that you've received in the past, but for the grace that you are receiving today!
Have a great day and God bless!
