Hello ,
What do you think of when you hear the word, "trust?"
Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV) "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."
Life can be a precarious tightrope walk. The future seems shrouded in mist, and the ground below feels shaky. In these moments of uncertainty, where do we
turn? The scripture from Proverbs reminds us that true peace and stability come from placing our trust in God.
Leaning on Ourselves vs. Leaning on God
We are often tempted to rely on our own
understanding. We make plans, strategize, and strive for control. But Proverbs warns against this. Our understanding is limited. We can't predict the twists and turns life throws our way. Leaning on ourselves can lead to anxiety, disappointment, and ultimately, a feeling of being lost.
Trusting in God's Faithfulness
God, on the other hand, is all-knowing and ever-present. He sees the bigger picture, the intricate tapestry of our lives. When we trust Him, we surrender our anxieties and embrace His perfect plan. This doesn't mean sitting back passively. It means acting with faith and obedience, knowing that God will guide our steps.
How to Deepen Our Trust
- Prayer: Regularly communicate with God. Share your fears and anxieties, but also express your gratitude for His constant presence.
- Bible
Study: Immerse yourself in God's word. See how He has remained faithful to His people throughout history.
- Reflection: Take time to reflect on God's blessings in your life, big and small. This cultivates an attitude of gratitude and strengthens your trust.

Trusting Through the Storms
Even when life gets difficult, God doesn't abandon us. He promises to be with us through the darkest valleys (Psalm 23:4). Trusting Him during these challenging times allows us to experience His unfailing love and strength.
Have a great day and God bless!
