Hello ,
"Contentment is
the only real wealth." Alfred Nobel
While my wife and I were in Germany in 2011, the bus that we were on drove past a car dealership in Berlin that caught everyone's attention. There in the front window of the dealership was a car, the likes of which I had never personally witnessed before. Gleaming blue, incredible detail, amazing
craftsmanship. The perfect synthesis of art, beauty, and power. People who are "in the know" about these things say that the engineering is so precise on this vehicle, that it doesn't need a head gasket.
The Bugatti
It has been in the top listing of some of the most expensive and exclusive automobiles in the world. Have you ever purchased a vehicle only to see others just like yours passing you on the street? That won't happen with a Bugatti. The owners of this incredible machine are part of a very small and exclusive club.
I have to admit, that when I saw the car gleaming in the showroom window, I was impressed. Then, as I was catching my breath, the thought came to me, "I wonder if people would put the same kind of price tag on contentment as they would a fine car like this?" Fact is, some many people run around looking for illusive key to happiness and contentment, and it's not that difficult to discover. Go skim over the book of Ecclesiates today, and then ask yourself, "Am I
working hard to be happy by the things that I have, (or want to have,) or am I contented in life?"
It's a great question, and if we're honest with ourselves, we might be surprised by the answer. In the end, the only real contentment is found in knowing God and serving Him.
Have a great day and God bless!
