Hello ,
In the movie, "The Mighty Ducks," the goalie of
the peewee hockey team was afraid of the puck. Anytime that it would come towards him, he would run away. The coach came up with a most unorthodox way of overcoming the young goalie's fear; the player was duct-taped to the goal, and the rest of the team shot pucks at him at will. Once the young man recognized that the equipment that he was wearing would protect him, he was no longer afraid of the puck.
The same can be true of our lives. We are often fearful of many things that we don't have control over. Our job is not always to control those things that come flying at us from out of nowhere, but to recognize that we can still be covered by God's goodness during those times. We cannot be separated from the love of God. It's not possible! When we internalize that fact, the things that life throws at
us can lose some of their "sting."
Have a great day and God bless!
