Hi
"Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others."
Phillipians 2:3-4
If there's been one "constant" with the human race through the centuries, it is selfishness. Songs like "I Did It My Way," and "What About Me?" have often dominated the charts, and there's no doubt that the issue of selfishness still reigns supreme in the minds of many people, everywhere.
Pause for a moment and think about the last time YOU can recall being / acting out in a selfish manner. Even dwelling on a subject like that can make one emotionally shrink into their thoughts of shame and regret.
This scripture in Phillipians 2
specifically tells you and me what we need to be thinking, doing, and acting like. It's a tall order that truly doesn't have an answer (in and of ourselves). Only our Creator can bring about something that we can't produce for ourselves.
The only real answer that has any "teeth," is found throughout God's Word. "Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me." Psalm 51:10
Have a great day and God bless!
