St. Louis Zoo officials say they are working to find a way to keep an Andean bear named Ben inside his enclosure after he escaped Thursday for the second time this month.

The bear was outside for less than an hour and was found only about 100 feet away from his habitat, zoo officials said in a statement. The 4-year-old bear, who weighs about 300 pounds, was tranquilized and returned to the enclosure.

As I read this account that happened just a few days ago, I was reminded of a passage of scripture that you my recall reading. 

"Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil walketh about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour."  1 Peter 5:8

A wayward bear who escaped his zoo enclosure would give most anyone a bit of a fright, but the adversary that this verse is speaking about in 1 Peter should put anyone on edge who doesn't have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. 

The devil is still on the loose, and we need to guard our hearts while he's still roaming around. 

"Lord, keep me faithful!"
