Hello ,
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am
strong." 2 Corinthians 12:9-10
This particular passage has
always challenged me, because I have never found myself "suffering" and "delighting" at the same time.
The key to this entire passage (at least from my vantage point), is that it is framed in the phrase, "for Christ's sake." We are at our most powerful, when we realize that we're not powerful at all. We are at our strongest when we recognize that it is HIS strength that pulls us through everything that we struggle with in this life.
Have a great day and God bless!
