Hello ,
It's called kaketsugi, and (after watching the video), I found this technique to be absolutely amazing, and almost unbelieveable to witness!
What is
it?
It's a process known as "Invisible Mending," and it involves taking a piece of cloth (from a garment or an object that might be covered in fabric) and making a repair to it that cannot be detected by the naked eye.
Take 5 minutes of your day, and have a look at the incredible process of fabric mending that this Japanese father and daughter team perform on a daily basis. The results are amazing.
Here's the video link.
I recently had a conversation with a good friend who pointed out that God can take the tattered, frayed threads of our lives, and mend them back into His robe of mercy and righteousness, through His amazing grace.
He heals the brokenhearted
And binds up their wounds.
Psalm 147:3
If you (or someone you may know), have wounds from the past that still feel like they've left a gaping hole in your heart, be encouraged.
Our Heavenly Father is in the business of tenderly binding those wounds, and weaving the tattered threads of them back into something
that can be beautiful (and useful) once again.
Word-of-mouth has traveled quickly about the father and daughter team of fabric-repairers in Japan. With a service this amazing, it's no surprise.
What could we tell others about the
ways that God has bound up our wounds, and repaired our broken hearts? When we recognize just how amazing His grace is, it's difficult to keep it to ourselves.
Have a great day and God bless!
