Hello ,

When I think of how little I have loved God throughout my life, I could have a thousand reasons to be embarrassed.  By my own strength, I can never love God the way that He is worthy of. He has already shown me how much He loves me:

"In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.  In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins."  1 John 4:9-10

The only way that I can respond to such a love as this, if to offer Him my heart (sinful and defective though it may be), and allow Him to work in it, to will and to do His good pleasure. It's the only hope that any of us have!
