Hello ,
During an appearance on the "Debatable" podcast, Thomas Haden Church discussed Will Smith's slap heard round the world.
Smith apologized
just moments after slapping Chris Rock on stage at the Oscars for a joke at Jada Pinkett Smith's expense. While accepting the award for Best Actor, he directed his remarks to the academy and his "fellow nominees." But on the following Monday, Smith again publicly apologized, this time including to Rock. On Twitter, he wrote:
Jokes at my expense are a part of the job, but a joke about Jada's medical condition was too much for me to bear and I reacted emotionally. I would like to publicly apologize to you, Chris. I was out of line and I was wrong. I am embarrassed and my actions were not indicative of the man I want to be.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1:9
We are often not the people that God designed us to be. We often make mistakes or blunders that we struggle with. God has forgiveness available for each of us, and
we can be assured that He will keep His end of the bargain.
If we come to Him, and lay ourselves at His feet, He will forgive us and do the necessary work in rebuilding us into His divine plan for our
lives.
Have a great day and God bless!
