Hello ,
But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. 1 John 1:7
I've had a number of physical cuts and wounds throughout my life, but I recall one particular wound that I had as a child that had a great deal of dirt in it. I took it to show my mother, and she immediately said to me, "Let's go over to the sink."
When we arrived at the sink, my mom began to run water on my wound, and proceeded to scrub the dirt that was in my wound, away. It wasn't a pleasant process, but a necessary one.
In the same way, we often need God to come into our lives and do the challenging work of cleansing our wounds, and removing the spiritual debris from our lives. It's not always a pleasant process. In fact, sometimes it's downright painful...but necessary.
The Great Physician is absolutely capable of doing this in our lives, but we've got to ask Him for that every day. At times, it even involves pausing what we're doing, and asking Him for this cleansing work "in the moment."
God is faithful, and can help us each and every day to achieve the "cleansing" that He promises.
Have a great day and God bless!
