Hello ,
What's the most wonderful gift that you ever received from a parent?
Was it something that was wrapped in colorful paper, or perhaps, maybe even a pet?
How excited were you to receive it, and how happy did your parent appear when they gave it to you?
How much more exciting is it to receive something from our Heavenly Father; something that we ask for, something that we truly need?
I have sometimes viewed God as a hesitant parent Who needed to be "talked into" something that He didn't necessarily want to do.
When we look at our Creator through a lens like this, how spiritually damaging it can be to our souls.
God wants good things for His children!
The scriptures make it clear that our Holy God wants us to be happy, to have our hearts desires, and to rely on Him (even when we may not be able to see through the fog of our humanity).
Are you relying on your Heavenly Father for the good gifts that He wants to give you, today?
