Hello ,
Insert card.
Tap in 4-digit code.
Pull out money.
I recall when ATM's first came on the scene. I was amazed and delighted to think that I could have cash anytime I needed it (provided I had some in my bank account).
I didn't have to wait.
I could approach a functional ATM with my bank card, and walk away with cash in a matter of about 45 seconds.
Amazing!
What was also amazing, was how comfortable I got with everything being almost instantaneous in my life. From pulling out funds at some moment that struck me, to receiving most any information that I could possibly need through search engines on the Internet, I became very adept at wanting everything NOW!
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
Waiting may not be something that we enjoy, but as Christians, it IS something that we ought to get used to.
Living in a NOW has the potential to spoil us towards waiting to see what God's timing will bring into our lives.
Lord, help me to remember that You can be trusted, and that waiting upon Your perfect will is always worth it. In Jesus' name, amen!
Have a great day and God bless!
