Hello ,
"Almost everything will work again if you unplug it, including you." Anne Lamott
Sorry for the lateness of this devotional. After
traveling all day yesterday, my wife and I were pretty exhausted, and I just couldn't seem to drag myself out of bed early this morning.
The quote above, reminds me that there are times in life when it's absolutely imperative that we come away from the cares and anxieties of life for a while, and rest. It's good for
the soul, it's good for the body, it's good for the mental faculties.
Jesus has told us very clearly in His Word, that we can come to Him for rest. Life gets busy, and there are days when it seems like it may overwhelm us with the busy-ness of it all.
Deadlines.
Work.
Tasks to accomplish.
Place to go.
People to see.
It can sometimes feel like we're trying to swim upstream against a hard current.
If you have connected with anything I've written here, please take some time to pause, pray, take a walk in nature, and rest.
Now, I'm off to see some family that I haven't seen in years. Have a wonderful day!
Have a great day and God bless!
