Hello ,

My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 2 And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.  1 John 2:1-2

Aren't you glad that this verse calls us "little children," and not "pathetic losers?" 

God knows what we are made of, and He recognizes that we may often come up short in our endeavors to be what He designed us to be. 

The above two verses are a solid gold promise from heaven to us, and we can trust it; not because of what we do, but because of what He has already done.
