Hello ,

"When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven you.”  Mark 2:5

Whenever I have read this story, it has had a powerful impact on my heart. 

Jesus doesn't begin with an immediate healing. He leads with the more important issue at hand; the forgiveness of this man's sins. 

Spiritual peace trumps physical healing on an eternal scale, and Jesus begins at the beginning; letting this despondent man know that his deepest need is being addressed. 

"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."  1 John 1:9

What a blessing to know that God is in the restoration business, no matter how many challenges we are up against from past mistakes.
