Hello ,
My brethren, do not hold the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with partiality. For if there should come into your assembly a man with gold rings, in fine apparel, and there should also come in a poor man in filthy clothes, and you pay attention to the one wearing the fine clothes and say to him, “You sit here in a good place,” and say to the poor
man, “You stand there,” or, “Sit here at my footstool,” have you not shown partiality among yourselves, and become judges with evil thoughts?
James 2:1-4
We often find ourselves subject to "first impressions" whenever we meet someone. More times than I care to recall, I have made summary judgments about someone based on their appearance.
God-followers are called to higher ground in the area of human relations. We are exhorted to bypass the externals, and search for the value that is found in the heart of each individual that we come in contact with.
The world is a cold place for relationships these days. People are becoming more and more polarized and isolated as they seek to make a life here on planet earth.
Our task is to make sure that they feel valued, and that they see Jesus living in us as we interact with them. Our greatest privilege is to have the opportunity to introduce them to the kind and loving Jesus that we know, and Who had changed our lives.
How will heaven use you, today?
Have a great day and God bless!
