Hi ,
"So he went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; and he set him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him." Luke 10:34
The story of the Good Samaritan is one of my favorites. I think I really appreciate this story because it blows away some of the pre-conceived notions that some people have about what caring for others looks like.
We're not called to simply pray for people, to think about them, or to serve up a word or two of encouragement. Serving people is a hands-on affair that can't be overestimated in the eyes of heaven.
When we go to people, reach out to them (right where they are hurting), without malice, political-party aspirations, or denominational bias, we come closer to fulfilling the law of God the way that it was intended to play out.
How will God use you, today?
How will others see that He still cares for them, through your ministry to them?
We have the ability to be the conduit of mercy in an unmerciful world.
How will that play out in our lives, and in the lives of those that we serve?
Have a great day and God bless!
