Hello ,
Listen to the following news story:
While preparing for a cookout on July 3, 2006, a Delaware man decided to use gunpowder rather than charcoal or lighter fluid to get the coals glowing in his grill.
The unorthodox fire preparation method blew up on him, and he suffered burns on his hands and face.
When I first saw this article, I wondered to myself, "What was he thinking?" Then it dawned on me; it probably just seemed like a quick way to get everything started up (I want to be as generous with my assessment as I can because I don't know the man).
How many times do we do things that seem right at the time, only to realize later that it was a big mistake?
There is a way that seems right to a man,
But its end is the way of death.
Proverbs 14:12 (NKJV)
We all mistakes, and have encountered blunders that cause us to shake our heads at times. One thing is certain though; in the spiritual realm, this can be eternally catastrophic.
Our only safe course, is to rely on God's Word for guidance and help in making decisions.
Have a great day and God bless!
