Hello ,
There was a television commercial that was making the rounds while I was growing up. The scene consisted of a cowboy who walked into an establishment (the establishment was made to look like an old wild-west saloon in the middle of a dry, dusty, barren wasteland).
The cowboy approached the bar and slowly drawled, "Give me a...bag of potato chips." Then (for what seemed like an eternity), the person watching the commercial witnessed potato chips being lifted to the dry, cracked, parched lips of this old cowpoke.
In the following scene, the parched cowboy lifted a dewy, glistening bottle of cool refreshing soda-pop to his lips, and chugged it down. The marketing slogan "Blow away your thirst with Teem" then appeared on the bottom of the video frame.
I hate to admit it, but that commercial ALWAYS made me feel thirsty. More times than once, I ran to our kitchen and poured myself a cold water and drank the entire glass right then and there.
Have you ever felt so famished that you exclaimed, "I'm so hungry, that I could eat a ___________"? (finish the sentence)
Why would someone be blessed if they hungered and thirsted after righteousness?
Simple answer: Because, they would finally be satisfied.
God has provided everything that we need to be His children. When we make the decision to turn that over into His care and keeping, He provides all the necessary things to make sure that our thirsting and hungering after righteousness is satisfied in divine, and amazing ways.
Have a great day and God bless!
