Hello ,
A young boy who had lost his left arm in a devastating car accident, began lessons with an old judo master. The boy was doing well, so he couldn’t understand why, after months of training, the master had taught him only one move.
"This is the only move you’ll ever need to know," He was told. Believing in his teacher, the boy kept training.
Entering his first tournament, he easily won his first two matches. The third proved to be more difficult, but the boy deftly used his one move to win the match.
Now in the finals, his opponent was bigger, stronger, and more experienced. Using his move to pin him, the boy won the match and the tournament.
Afterward, the boy asked "Sensei, how did I win the tournament with only one move?"
"Two reasons," the sensei answered. "First, you’ve mastered the most difficult throw in all of judo. Second, the only known defense is for your opponent to grab your left arm."
The boy’s biggest weakness had become his biggest strength.
In Ephesians 3, Scripture tells us that our strength comes in trusting in Him. Our weakness, joined by His strength becomes a powerful force for good.
Have a great day and God bless!
