Hello ,
"Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
So many people in the United States will be traveling this week, as they make their way to families and friends for Thanksgiving Day.
We have so much to be grateful for, and one day a year (to reflect and remember), seems inadequate.
There is a hymn that is one of my favorites, entitled "Great Is Thy Faithfulness." Take a quick look at the lyrics of this beautiful number:
| |
“Great is Thy faithfulness!” “Great is Thy faithfulness!”
Morning by morning new mercies I see;
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided—
“Great is Thy faithfulness,” Lord, unto me! |
| |
Summer and winter, and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above,
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love. |
| |
Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,
Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside! |
Let me encourage you to take a few moments today, to dwell on God's goodness to you and your family. Here's a link for you to listen to this encouraging old hymn while you contemplate God's faithfulness.
Have a great day and God bless!
