Hello ,
“And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.” Revelation 21:5
There's just something about that new car smell that attracts so many people. Many have theorized that it causes some that smell it, to think of new beginnings.
I don't know if that's true, or not...but I think the concept of new beginnings can most certainly be found in the scriptures.
God is in the "new beginnings" business.
It doesn't matter:
- What your past has been like.
- How many times you have failed.
- Who others think you are.
- How addicted you may be.
- Where your self-esteem is.
It can't truly be a new beginning if everything stays the same, but new beginnings are possible...and they can happen when God has been given an opportunity to change some things in our lives.
It's a new year!
Personally, 2021 just didn't seem all that great to me.
Don't get me wrong...I am grateful to be alive, and God blessed me in a number of ways. I did however, have a good number of struggles in 2021...and there were times when I wondered if i was doing all that I could to leave it all in God's capable hands.
I'm in need of a new beginning in 2022, but then again...I need a new beginning every single day!
"It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness." Lamentations 3:22-23
None of us knows what 2022 will bring, but we do know this; God can be with us every day. He can help us have those new beginnings that we so desperately need...today, and until Jesus comes!
Happy New Year...and May God richly bless you, my friend!
