Anne Lamott writes the following:

mournfully the other day that he'd lived his life like the Professor on "Gilligan's Island." While he found time to fashion generators out of palm fronds, vaccines out of algae, he never got around to fixing that huge hole in the boat so he could go home. How many people actually do?"*
It's food for thought in the spiritual realm. God
provides us with so many ways to experience peace, enjoy spiritual power in our lives, and be daily challenged with watching Him work on us from the inside-out. Often, we squander those moments trying to patch up the surface things that cannot be fixed from the outside-in.
Lord, help me to truly understand Your ability to change
my, and give me the heart and mind of Jesus Christ today. Amen!
