Hello ,
6 Days from Christmas
35 And the angel
answered and said to her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God. 36 Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren. 37 For with God nothing will be impossible." 38 Then Mary said, "Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word." And the angel departed
from her. Luke 1:35-38
Pay close attention to the last part of this passage. Mary doesn't argue, she doesn't debate the physical impossibilities of a virgin giving birth; she doesn't recoil from the huge responsibility that this will definitely become. Imagine, giving birth to the Messiah. This is
a very big deal! She's young, she's a virgin, she's betrothed to a man...and yet, she is very clear about her willingness to go through what God has planned for her.
What would this world be like if every Christian in the world would be willing to follow God's voice...no matter what? Mary's faith is worth aspiring to.
Have a great day and God bless!
