Your Open Word e-Devotional for November 12th

Hello ,

"This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent." John 17:3

It is widely known that a young man used to crawl under President Kennedy's desk from time to time...all with the full knowledge of those that were guarding the President.

How could this be possible?

This young man's name was John, and he had special privileges...because he was the President's son.

As amazing as this all may seem, it was fairly standard behavior for even the President's daughter. They KNEW President Kennedy, and that knowledge gave them special privileges in the Oval Office.

Really knowing the God of this universe is something very special. Jesus came to planet earth so that we could truly know what God was like, and to save us from our sins. Studying His Word (the Bible), is a means of getting to "know" God better. It's important to draw closer to Him every day.
