Hello ,
A federal immigration officer accused of corruption is supposed to have taken 200 egg rolls as a bribe. Federal prosecutors say a 47-year-old woman was indicted recently on three counts of solicitation of a bribe by a public official.
Prosecutors say the immigration official took 200 egg rolls from a citizenship
applicant and received $1,000 and $2,200 bribes from two other immigrants since 2011.
It's a reminder that we all have our price. Those who think that they don't have a price (if they are merely counting on their own stamina) are kidding themselves.
Sin has a way of finding and exploiting our personal weaknesses.
For some it's cash.
For others, it's egg rolls.
A temptation one person might resist will be the downfall of another. Only as we submit ourselves into God's care and keeping (moment by moment,) can we ever hope to enjoy lives of freedom and joy.
"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." James 4:7
Far too many people try to resist BEFORE they submit. Submitting ourselves to God "in the moment" BEFORE temptation comes along can help us to resist when we're being tempted in
"real-time."
Have a great day and God bless!
