Karen Carpenter sang a song in the 1970's
entitled "Rainy Days and Mondays Always Get Me Down." I've come to understand that it doesn't have to be a Monday that discourages people. Discouragement and disappointment knows no season...sometimes it just happens.
Perhaps you've recently been feeling sick or struggling with an illness. Maybe you've
lost a job, and it seems like that harder you try, the further behind you seem to get. Could it be that your heart os breaking over someone that you love who is living a life that is taking them down destructive paths?
Today, if you are feeling a bit defeated, let me urge you to get out your
Bible (or a digital device that has a Bible on it,) and look up Romans 8:35-39. Most of the time I give you the scripture on this e-devotional, (or a link to it,) but today I want to challenge you to actually look up the passage and let a smile come across your face as you read it for yourself. Life is hard, but God is good.
