Hello ,

I'm going to begin this e-Devotional with (what may seem like) a provocative question, but I'd really like to challenge you to think about it before answering.  

Here's the question:

Does God always answer prayers fairly?

Please think about the question before blurting out the answer.

Let me throw another question at you:  

What chance would we have for eternal life if God WERE actually fair?

God is merciful, just, kind, loving, and compassionate, but I'm very glad that He chose to answer Christ's prayer in Gethsemane the way that He did.  Jesus didn't get a fair deal at all, but in taking what WE fairly deserved, we have the opportunity to receive what HE deserves.  What an awesome thought!
