Hello ,
As long as you and I have faith, we will have doubts. I've heard so many people claim that
they are TOTALLY SURE of something, but I question that position in everycircumstance.
In order for us to be completely sure about anything, we simply must have experienced it. That idea may be foreign to some people, (and I'm willing to listen to anyone who disagrees), but let me expand it for a moment.
I believe that Abraham Lincoln was the 16th President of the United States of America BASED on the experience of others. I cannot however assert that I am totally sure about that based on my experience. I wasn't alive when he was leading this country, so I have to base my belief on a measure of faith...(It's probably only a small measure of faith, but it's
a measure nonetheless.)
I have never physically seen God, but I have experienced enough of His work in my life that I unquestioning believe in His existence. There are times when I have doubts about a number of things, but He has always shown Himself faithful in helping me to have faith in things that I don't understand.
"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Hebrews 11:1
Having doubts is perfectly normal in a Christian's life, but God has given us ample evidence that we can trust Him with our lives.
Have a great day and God bless!
