Not even in my house did I exist, but when he looked at me, he let me know that I was alive and I had a voice."*

The way that we treat people, relate to them, and behave around them really doesmake a difference.  True Christianity has the attribute of love first and foremost.  If you would like to have some "extra credit" homework today...please read 1 Corinthians 13 (the "love" chapter) over again.  It's solid gold.
