Hello ,

"What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, 'Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!' I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance."  Luke 15:4-7

Sheep are some of the most exasperating animals that I have ever had the "pleasure" (and I use that term loosely), of working with.  They just don't seem to be all that intelligent.  If you've met an intelligent sheep, I'd love to hear about it!

The sheep in this parable of Jesus lost.  It KNOWS it's lost...but it doesn't know how to find it's way back.

People leave God for all kinds of reasons.  Maybe someone hurt them in the church where they attended.  Perhaps they slipped away and got into a lifestyle that took them even farther.  It's hard to say, but one thing is sure...they KNOW that they are lost.  How do I know?  Because I've spoken with some of them!  I've sat across from people with tears streaming down their cheeks wondering if God can EVER accept them after all that they have done.  They would LOVE to find their way back to Him...but they don't know how!

It's our job to bring them to Jesus, and let Him take them home.

Lord, help me to be a blessing to some lost sheep that needs You...In Jesus name, amen!

Have a great day and God bless!
