Hello ,

"Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.  Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.  Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Matthew 5:14-16

We used to sing a song when I was a kid...."This Little Light of Mine."  Perhaps you've heard it.  

The first verse went something like this:  

"This little light of mine, I'm gonna LET it shine."

Notice that it didn't say: "This little light of mine, I'm gonna MAKE it shine."

One word makes a HUGE difference.  When we love Jesus, we don't have to MAKE our lights shine.  They shine BECAUSE we love Jesus.
