I'm sending this particular e-Devotional out very early...because I know that some subscribers will be reading it on their Smartphones...while they are sitting in a parking lot...waiting for "Black Friday" to begin.
The world of "retail" would like nothing better than to urge "selfishness" to the
consciousness of everyone who shops their stores (it brings the bottom line up). As Christians, we have been called to higher ground. Remembering the Golden Rule is just as important today, as it is on any other day of the year. It's an important principle to recall when we're with the "crowds" of people who all want a wonderful deal on something...and are willing to shove someone else out of the way to get it.
Me? I always sit this event out. My life is crazy enough!
